  • Bắt đầu bằng câu hỏi xác nhận danh tính: “Can you tell me your full name?”
  • Tiếp theo là 2–3 chủ đề, mỗi chủ đề có 3–4 câu hỏi
  • Tổng cộng khoảng 10–12 câu hỏi

4 tiêu chí chấm điểm Speaking:

Tiêu chí Trọng số Yêu cầu Band 7
Fluency & Coherence 25% Nói trôi chảy, ít ngắt quãng, ý tưởng logic

Câu 5: Do you live in a house or an apartment?

Câu 7: Do you enjoy your work/studies?

“For the most part, yes. I particularly enjoy the creative side of my job — coming up with campaign ideas and seeing them come to life. The only downside is that deadlines can be quite stressful sometimes.”

  • 📌 Từ vựng: come to life (trở thành hiện thực), downside, deadline

Câu 8: What subject do you find most interesting?

  • 📌 Từ vựng: entrepreneurial, from the ground up (từ đầu)

Câu 14: Is there a hobby you’d like to take up in the future?

  • 📌 Từ vựng: take up (bắt đầu một sở thích mới), commit to

Câu 15: Do people in your country have enough leisure time?

Câu 17: Do you prefer eating at home or in a restaurant?

  • 📌 Từ vựng: economical (tiết kiệm), dining out, atmosphere

Câu 18: Do you enjoy cooking?

  • 📌 Từ vựng: meditative (như thiền định), be fully present, hold my own (tự lo được)

Câu 19: Has your diet changed in recent years?

Chủ Đề 5: Travel & Transport (Du Lịch & Phương Tiện)

  • 📌 Từ vựng: seasonal scenery, in a heartbeat (ngay lập tức, không do dự)

Câu 23: How do you usually travel around your city?

Câu 24: Would you like to live in another country?

  • 📌 Từ vựng: deeply rooted (gắn bó sâu sắc), personal growth, professional development

Câu 25: Do you prefer travelling alone or with others?

Chủ Đề 6: Technology & Internet (Công Nghệ & Internet) | 50 Câu Hỏi IELTS Speaking Part 1 Phổ Biến Nhất

  • 📌 Từ vựng: on balance (nhìn chung), dependency (sự phụ thuộc), screen time

Câu 29: Do you prefer reading physical books or e-books?

  • 📌 Từ vựng: tactile (liên quan đến xúc giác), replicate (sao chép lại), slight preference

Câu 30: Are you good at using new technology?

Câu 33: Have your music tastes changed over time?

  • 📌 Từ vựng: blockbuster, surround sound, contemplative (trầm tư)

Câu 35: Is music important in your culture?

“Very much so. Vietnam has a rich musical heritage with distinct regional styles — from the haunting melodies of quan ho folk singing in the north to the livelier styles in the south. Music is deeply woven into ceremonies, festivals and everyday life.”

Câu 36: What’s the weather like in your country?

  • 📌 Từ vựng: diverse climate, temperate (ôn hoà), distinct seasons, misty (sương mù)

Câu 37: Do you prefer hot or cold weather?

  • 📌 Từ vựng: draining (làm cạn kiệt sức lực), humid (ẩm ướt), energetic

Câu 38: Do you spend much time in nature?

  • 📌 Từ vựng: restorative (hồi phục sức lực), surrounded by greenery, day trip

Câu 39: Are there any natural places near where you live?

“Hanoi is actually surrounded by some beautiful natural spots. Hoan Kiem Lake in the city centre is a lovely green oasis, and West Lake is perfect for an evening stroll. A short drive outside the city takes you to Ba Vi National Park, which is stunning.”

  • 📌 Từ vựng: oasis (ốc đảo), stroll (đi dạo thư thái), stunning (tuyệt đẹp)

Câu 40: Do you think people should do more to protect the environment?

“Without a doubt. I think individuals, businesses and governments all share responsibility, though I believe policy-level changes are far more impactful than individual actions alone. That said, I do try to be mindful of my own carbon footprint.”

  • 📌 Từ vựng: carbon footprint, policy-level, impactful, share responsibility

Chủ Đề 9: Shopping & Fashion (Mua Sắm & Thời Trang)

Câu 41: Do you enjoy shopping?

  • 📌 Từ vựng: selective (kén chọn), aimlessly (vô mục đích), commit (quyết định mua)

Câu 42: Do you prefer shopping online or in physical stores?

“It genuinely depends on what I’m buying. For everyday items and electronics, online shopping wins for convenience and price comparison. But for clothing and shoes, I much prefer trying things on in person — too many online purchases have disappointed me.”

  • 📌 Từ vựng: price comparison, in person (trực tiếp), disappoint

Câu 43: Are you interested in fashion?

“Moderately. I care about looking presentable and put-together, but I wouldn’t call myself a fashion enthusiast. I tend to invest in classic, versatile pieces rather than chasing the latest trends, which I find more cost-effective and sustainable.”

  • 📌 Từ vựng: presentable (chỉn chu), put-together (gọn gàng), versatile (linh hoạt), sustainable

Câu 44: How much time do you spend shopping each week?

“Very little, actually. Maybe an hour or two online browsing, mostly for groceries and household essentials. I try not to shop impulsively — I find it helps both my bank account and my stress levels.”

Câu 45: Do you think people buy too many things they don’t need?

“Absolutely, and I include myself in that at times. Consumer culture and social media advertising are incredibly effective at manufacturing desire for things we didn’t know we wanted. I think the slow fashion and minimalism movements are really valuable counter-responses to this.”

  • 📌 Từ vựng: consumer culture, manufacturing desire, minimalism, counter-response

Chủ Đề 10: Health & Sport (Sức Khoẻ & Thể Thao)

Câu 46: Do you do any sports or exercise?

  • 📌 Từ vựng: national obsession (nỗi ám ảnh quốc dân), recreational (giải trí)

Câu 48: Do you think it’s important to be healthy?

  • 📌 Từ vựng: foundation (nền tảng), longevity (tuổi thọ), proactive (chủ động)

Câu 49: How do you try to stay healthy?

“A combination of things — regular exercise, trying to eat well, getting enough sleep and managing stress. I’ve found that sleep is probably the most underrated of all health habits. When I’m well-rested, everything else falls into place more easily.”

Câu 50: Have your health habits changed in recent years?

FAQ – Những Câu Hỏi Thường Gặp

Nếu bạn không nghe rõ hoặc không hiểu câu hỏi, hãy lịch sự đề nghị giám khảo nhắc lại: “I’m sorry, could you repeat that?” hoặc “Could you rephrase that, please?”

Ví dụ: “I enjoy living here, though the traffic can be quite chaotic at times.” cho thấy khả năng diễn đạt đa chiều.
